The Boston Student Film Fest is produced by the Boston Student Arts Network (BSAN) and showcases the talented works of New England students. The Fest fills a void in a community where thousands students reside and produce spectacular work. Our inaugural online event in 2012 proved to be very successful and attracted thousands of visits from students and the public. We showcased 12 films in a variety of genres on our website over a 3 week span. Throughout this period, viewers voted on their favorites for audience awards and our jury of Boston film professionals provided their feedback for Best of the Fest awards. From our Fest, many of the filmmakers went on to showcase their films in Film Festivals around the country.

Our 2013 Fest is scheduled to take place in March again with submissions opening in December. We are excited to add a closing awards ceremony and screening to the Fest to bring further attention and opportunities to our students. Additionally, we will be hosting a Student Filmmakers Networking Brunch to bring the film community of Boston together. For more information about each of these events visit our schedule page.

The Boston Student Arts Network

The Boston Student Arts Network is a resource for college students in the city of Boston who are pursuing careers in the arts and entertainment industry. We connect students with their colleagues and enable them to expand their careers by learning from each other's skills and experiences.

BSAN also provides support and guidance to the students in our community, offering new opportunities and ideas for our members to grow in their industries. We strive to provide students with the tools they need to succeed and meet their goals. Whether it be equipment, work/performance opportunities, crew, artistic advice, or general support, BSAN aims to help students in Boston studying various elements of the arts push forward in their profession.
